为了最大程度留住AI人才，科技巨头们花招百出。现在有外媒指称，Google旗下AI部门DeepMind会向部分负责AI领域的员工支付薪水，让他们可以在一年内什么都不做，以避免他们跳槽到竞争对手的公司。
据据《Business Insider》报道，DeepMind已经采取“激进”的竞业禁止协议（noncompete agreements）做法，在英国要求部分AI员工不得在一年内跳槽至竞争对手公司。
这些员工在这段期间仍会获得薪资，相当于一段长时间的带薪休假，但《Business Insider》指出，这样的安排会让研究人员感觉自己被排除在AI发展的快速节奏之外。
在美国，联邦贸易委员会（FTC）去年已禁止大多数的竞业禁止协议，但这项规定不适用于DeepMind的伦敦总部。
上个月微软的AI副总裁曾在X上发文指出，有DeepMind员工“感到绝望”，并联系他表示难以摆脱竞业条款的束缚。
